
Regular maintenance is key to happy RV ownership.
Monthly
- If your trailer is equipped with a generator, start it up and let it run 30 minutes
- Wash and wax
- Check tire pressure
- Inspect window seals
- Do a walk around and look for any rusty screws which indicates possible water intrusion
Quarterly
- Clean or change the A/C filter
- Check your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector
- Inspect skylight, compartments and doors for any needed caulking
Semi-Annually
- Do a detailed inspection of the roof checking for leaks or the potential for leaks
- Wash roof
- Inspect wood trim for any necessary maintenance
- Test your propane tank for any leaks
Annually
- Check tire condition and wear
- Inspect the wheel bearings
- Bleach wash the roof and awning
- Inspect the underbelly for any areas that might allow a critter in your trailer.
- Inspect electrical connections and coat in white lithium grease, if needed.
